Middle School GT Symphonic Band Middle School Honors Band AUDITION REQUIREMENTS 2011-2012 All Audition Performance Requirements are drawn from those utilized for All State Band auditions.
The audition for Howard County GT and Honors Band has the exact same requirements as the Maryland All State Audition: in addition to the Required Selection(s) listed below, each student will asked to perform the Chromatic Scale and one major scale selected from the following keys: C, G, D, A, E, F, Bb, Eb, Ab. The scales should be played evenly and smoothly in a 16th note pattern, A reminder: students need to prepare the selections in their entirety for both the Howard County Gifted and Talented Symphonic Band Audition and the Maryland Junior All State Band. |
