and Peru in South America.
What They Eat:
Like most bears, the spectacled bear is omnivorous, which means
it will eat almost anything.
Why They Are Endangered:
Although hunting of this bear is illegal, people often do not
easily identify the bear and continue to kill it.
Fun Fact:
Unlike most bears
who sleep in caves, the Spectacled Bear uses its sharp claws
to build nests in trees to sleep at night!
