Created by Kathleen B. Carlisle Baltimore, Maryland suggested for graded 6 - 10 In order to educate others about the problem of world hunger, students will first need to educate themselves by visiting many web sites. The class will then be divided into groups of six. This way, each pair can cover one of three main questions and then they will compile their information into a final product. (Depending on the availability of computers, however, you may decide to work on all of the pieces as a complete group.) Each group will develop a pamphlet to hand out to a particular audience: other students in your school, your parents or community leaders. This assignment will take about five days in the computer lab to complete. Throughout this process, students will be answering various questions about world hunger which they will include in their informational pamphlet.
